Essential Maintenance Checklist for Your Fiber Laser

Daily Checklist (Start of Shift)

• Inspect Protective Lens: This is crucial. Check for dust or splatter. Clean with IPA and lint-free cloth if needed. A dirty lens will burn quickly.
• Check Gas Pressures: Ensure O2, N2, and Air supply pressures are adequate.
• Check Nozzle Condition: A damaged nozzle orifice affects gas flow and cut quality. Replace if jagged.
• Verify Chiller Status: Check water temperature readings and ensure no alarms are present.

Weekly Tasks

• Grease rack and pinion gears and linear guides according to manufacturer specs.
• Check chiller water level and cleanliness.
• Clean the machine bed and remove slag buildup.
• Inspect dust collector filters.

Monthly/Quarterly

• Inspect and clean electrical cabinet filters.
• Check optical path bellows for damage.
• Replace chiller water (use distilled/deionized water).
